Netepan.id ("we") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Netepan.id application ("App").

Information We Collect

1. Location Data

We request access to your device's location to provide accurate prayer times and Qibla direction based on your position. Location data is processed locally on your device and is not sent to our servers.

2. Local Storage Data

The App stores preferences and usage data locally on your device using localStorage and IndexedDB, including:

• Your selected location settings
• Prayer time schedules for offline access
• Other app preferences

3. AI Conversation Data

When you use the Netepan AI feature (chat assistant), the following data is collected and sent to third-party services:

• Data sent: Text messages you type and conversation history within the active chat session are sent to Netepan.ID servers for processing.
• Data recipient: Netepan.ID servers forward your messages to a third-party AI service provider, Groq, to generate responses.
• Data storage: We do not store your conversation history on our servers. On the mobile app, conversation history is stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time using the delete button within the chat feature.
• User consent: On the mobile app, you will be asked to provide explicit consent before using the AI Chat feature for the first time. You can use the App without enabling this feature.

No personal identity data (name, email, or account ID) is sent along with your chat messages.

4. Notification Data

If you enable notifications, the App uses a local service worker to send prayer time reminders. Notifications are managed entirely on your device.

Use of Information

The information collected is used to:

• Display accurate prayer times based on your location
• Determine the Qibla direction from your position
• Provide prayer time notifications
• Provide an AI assistant feature to answer Islamic questions
• Improve the App user experience

Third-Party Services

This App uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase Analytics (Google) — for anonymous App usage analytics. The data sent includes feature usage information, not user message content.
• Groq (Privacy Policy) — to process conversations in the AI assistant feature.

These third-party services have their own privacy policies that govern their data handling. We ensure that the third-party service providers we use provide equal or better data protection for user data.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. Most data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to external servers. Communication between the App and our servers is protected with HTTPS encryption.

Children's Privacy

This App is not specifically designed for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take the necessary action.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be announced through the App or on this page. We recommend that you review this page periodically.
